Robert Half are working in partnership with a well-established and growing business on the outskirts of Swindon to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant that is looking for a new challenge and add value, whilst looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, ensuring financial records are accurate and processes run smoothly. Salary between £30,000 - £35,000 plus benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Accounts Assistant role will consist of:
- Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Bank reconciliations
- preparing payment runs
- Posting cash and allocating payments
- Assisting with credit control activities where required
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting the month-end close process
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding finance queries
Requirements
To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you must ideally have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- A proactive and positive approach to work
