We're working with a highly respected large UK main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-quality construction projects across a range of sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint a Mid-Level Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who is ready to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of projects alongside an experienced and supportive pre-construction team.
Estimator Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed estimates and tenders for a range of construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation
- Producing accurate bills of quantities and pricing schedules
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and commercial reviews
- Working closely with the pre-construction, design and commercial teams
- Contributing to the development of project budgets and cost plans
- Ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within agreed deadlines
Estimator Requirements
- Construction related degree / qualifications
- 4+ years Estimating experience
- Worked for a main contractor across various sectors
- Proficient using estimating software & Microsoft packages
