Job Title: Software QA Engineer
Salary : Up to £65k per annum

You’ll work closely with software engineers, project managers and test teams to improve testability, identify risks and ensure software products meet quality and reliability standards. What you’ll be doing:

You’ll work closely with software engineers, project managers and test teams to improve testability, identify risks and ensure software products meet quality and reliability standards. What you’ll be doing:
- Create, maintain and execute manual and automated test plans and test cases
- Review requirements and assess testability and risks
- Identify, log, track and report defects
- Monitor software performance, usability and functionality
- Work closely with development teams to improve testability and quality
- Produce test reports, quality plans and supporting documentation
- Contribute to improving testing processes, tools and standards
- Support and coach teams on software quality and testing best practices
- Track and report testing and defect metrics
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ software development experience
- 3+ years’ experience in Software QA or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of manual, automated and exploratory testing
- Experience with QA, test management and defect tracking tools
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
- Strong attention to quality and customer outcomes
- Scripting experience with Python, Unix shell, Java or C#
- Experience with tools such as Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, JUnit or Jira
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber or Gherkin
- Understanding of TDD and BDD
- Experience with Android development using Java or Kotlin
- Awareness of modern software build and delivery practices
