Senior SaaS Postgres DBA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) and SaaS Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize business-critical PostgreSQL database environments and cloud-based SaaS infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities 

• PostgreSQL installation, configuration, performance tuning and optimization. 
• Backup, recovery, replication, clustering and disaster recovery management. 
• Database security, patching, upgrades and migrations. 
• SaaS platform administration, SSO, IAM and user lifecycle management.  
• Monitoring, automation, incident response and vendor management. 
• Cloud platform and Linux server administration.
• Documentation, compliance and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

• Demonstrable PostgreSQL DBA experience. 
• Expertise in SQL, performance tuning and high availability. 
• Linux administration experience. 
• SaaS platform administration. 
• Azure knowledge. 
• Scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell. 
• Security and compliance best practices. 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Relevant PostgreSQL, cloud or Linux certifications desirable. 

Desirable Skills 

• Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Terraform or Ansible. 
• DevOps and CI/CD practices. 
• Multi-tenant SaaS environments.
