SEND Teaching Assistant/HLTA
Location: Birmingham/Solihull
Contract: Full time – temporary to permanent roles
Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience
About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both specialist SEND settings and mainstream schools , providing tailored support to help pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with a range of SEND needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
- Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- A good understanding of a variety of special educational needs .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
- The flexibility to work within both SEND specialist provisions and mainstream school environments.
