Job title: CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator
Location: Wakefield
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 3:15pm
Salary: £18.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Overview
Our client are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to set up, programme and operate HAAS machining centres to manufacture high-quality precision components to specified tolerances. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, programme and operate HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centres (VF2 to VF9).
* Manufacture precision component parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specified tolerances.
* Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship.
* Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
* Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required to support the production team. Qualifications * City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (desirable).
* Skills & Experience
* Proven experience setting, programming and operating HAAS CNC milling machines.
* Programming experience is highly advantageous.
* Ability to use a range of precision inspection and measuring equipment.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
* Ability to consistently produce components to tight tolerances.
* Good awareness of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge and experience of 4th and 5th axis machining would be advantageous. What We Offer * Competitive pay of £18.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
