Job Opportunity: SRP Teacher (Specialist Resource Provision) – Workington

Hours: Part Time (Monday & Tuesday)
Start Date: ASAP – July 2026

Hannett Hale is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm, nurturing, and well‑regarded primary school in Workington with a dedicated Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). We are seeking an experienced and compassionate teacher to support pupils with a range of SEND needs within the SRP unit.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Teaching and supporting a small group of pupils within the SRP, all of whom have identified SEND needs and EHCPs
- Planning and delivering tailored lessons and interventions that meet individual learning targets
- Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive environment that supports emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Working closely with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and mainstream teachers to ensure continuity and progress
- Supporting pupils to access mainstream lessons where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP reviews

This is a full‑time role starting ASAP until July, with the potential for further opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally within an SRP, resource base, or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach
- Confidence in delivering personalised learning and behaviour support
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting pupils with complex needs

Pay & Benefits

- Competitive daily rate: £110–£150, depending on experience
