Teacher of Music - Secondary School - Preston

About the Role

As Teacher of Music , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and curriculum offer. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:

  • Secure understanding of musical elements, notation and listening skills

  • Confident performance skills through singing and instrumental work

  • Composition skills using structured techniques and creative experimentation

  • Musical literacy and vocabulary to support strong written and practical outcomes

  • GCSE success through clear modelling, purposeful practice and high-quality feedback

You will encourage pupils of different starting points to participate confidently and make progress, building strong routines and a positive classroom culture.
