We have a great opportunity for you to join the team at Avon View as a Care Assistant .
Located just outside Christchurch, Avon View is a residential home that provides nursing, palliative, residential, and dementia care across three floors. We support people with a range of complex needs providing compassionate, person-centred care.
As a Care Assistant , you’ll be supporting people in a way that helps them feel safe, comfortable and respected - making sure their wellbeing, comfort and dignity always come first.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting our clients with personal care, eating and drinking, and supporting them with moving (including the use of hoists).
- Treating our clients with dignity and respect , making sure they feel comfortable and safe.
- Following Health and Safety guidance , especially around moving and handling and using protective equipment.
- Keeping online records about the support you’ve given.
What we’re looking for:
- The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy with the needs of the clients.
- IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.
6 month, fixed term contract – maternity cover
36 hours per week

We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.
