Bring strong communication, content and organisational skills to a varied role creating internal and external communications, social media and digital content. Previous communications experience or a recent communications graduate will be considered.

SALARY: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum (depending on experience)

LOCATION: Lewisham, South London

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity to shape engaging communications across multiple channels while supporting a consistent, professional brand. The Communications Officer will create written and visual content for internal and external audiences.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Communications Officer will support newsletters, social media, campaigns and storytelling while helping coordinate key activities and projects.

The Communications Officer will also maintain digital channels, including the website, SharePoint intranet and internal directories, with a strong focus on accuracy, tone of voice and stakeholder communication.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Communications Officer include:

• Content Creation and Communications: Research, draft and produce written and visual content for internal and external communications, including weekly news updates

• Social Media and Campaigns: Create engaging content for social media, marketing and recruitment campaigns, monitor channels and escalate non-compliant content where necessary

• Photography and Videography: Capture photography and video content in line with brand, consent and GDPR requirements

• Stories and Brand Consistency: Collate and share organisational and sector stories while maintaining the appropriate tone of voice and consistent brand standards

• Digital Channel Management: Maintain and update the website, SharePoint intranet and internal directory listings

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

• Previous communications experience or a recent communications graduate

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone, face-to-face, written and electronic communication

• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and use initiative

• High attention to detail and accuracy, with a professional, adaptable and solutions-focused approach

• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and similar systems

• Experience producing written content for internal or external audiences and handling confidential or sensitive information appropriately

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

• Knowledge of social media channels and how to create engaging content

• Photography and/or videography experience

• Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn

• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available

DESIRABLE

• Experience working in a regulated or care-sector environment

• Understanding of the Supported Housing sector
