Experience: 5+ years We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support a high-impact data engineering team, building and maintaining production data pipelines and datasets under the guidance of a dedicated engineering owner. Key Responsibilities
- Build, test and maintain batch ETL pipelines .
- Develop and optimise SQL for large-scale datasets .
- Use Python for data transformation and pipeline orchestration.
- Implement pipeline changes, backfills and schema updates.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues.
- Maintain data quality checks, testing and documentation.
- Work with distributed data technologies and workflow schedulers.
- Participate in code reviews and follow Git-based development practices.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and engineering partners.
- 5+ years' experience building production data pipelines.
- Strong SQL , including performance tuning on large datasets.
- Strong Python for data transformation and orchestration.
- Experience with Presto, Spark, Hive or similar distributed query engines.
- Experience with Airflow or similar workflow schedulers.
- Comfortable working in a Git/code review-based environment .
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Data modelling experience for analytics.
- BI/dashboard experience.
- Data quality frameworks and pipeline observability.
