This top law firm are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team, delivering a high-quality accounting service and supporting the wider business with accurate, insightful financial information. Key Responsibilities in this Financial Accountant role -
- Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments across multiple entities
- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
- Perform bank postings and reconciliations
- Coordinate and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support quarterly VAT/GST return preparation and submission
- Play a key role in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit processes, liaising with external auditors
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with FP&A
- Respond to ad-hoc information requests and perform data analysis
- Contribute ideas to improve systems, processes, and reporting
- Support a variety of finance-related projects as required
To be successful in this Financial Accountant role -
- Fully qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting experience
- Experience in professional services or a complex multi-entity environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 16) and group consolidations is desirable
- Comfortable working with large datasets, with good Excel skills (SQL knowledge beneficial)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Proactive, inquisitive, and keen to challenge and improve existing processes
