You can earn up to £12.82per hour as a Night Care Assistant. We’re excited to grow our team of care professionals further and would love to welcome you.

Reports to: Senior Care team, Team Leader, Manager and Deputy Manager

As a Care Assistant, you should be able to multitask, prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure. The primary goal of the role is to provide exceptional care to the ladies and gentlemen we support while understanding their individual needs and building empowering relationships with them.

About The Role

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

• Review and work in accordance with individual care plans for our ladies and gentlemen and provide personal care in line with them, enhancing their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
• Interact with the friends and family of people living with us where appropriate, including attending review meetings. Meet and greet other visitors to the home and represent Rochcare professionally at all times.
• Show a desire and passion to help make a difference to the lives of others and work effectively as part of a team who believe in respecting every person as a unique individual, treating them with the dignity you would wish for yourself.
• Demonstrate an ability to build and maintain relationships with people whose understanding is impaired and their families through good communication skills.
• Complete all necessary records and routines accurately and maintain a clean and safe working environment for everyone living and working in the home.
• Adhere to all infection prevention and control policies and procedures, ensuring best practice is followed at all times to protect the health and wellbeing of residents, visitors and colleagues.
• Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties to the highest standard, including maintaining bedrooms, communal areas, equipment and workspaces in a clean, hygienic and safe condition in line with the home’s cleaning schedules and infection control requirements.

The ideal candidate should be ready to assist and support the physical and personal needs of the older people living in our care home. We are looking for someone who is naturally compassionate and who can help us deliver exceptional care. This role is about being committed to the wellbeing of each person, responding to any complex needs with sensitivity, professionalism and respect. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment and in promoting the highest standards of care and infection control throughout the home.

We built our first residential care home in the early 1980s when we noticed that many care homes were set up in old converted buildings that didn’t always lend themselves to meeting the wide-ranging needs of those with age-related difficulties or dementia.
