The Opportunity
We are partnering with a prominent Further Education provider in Bromley to recruit a dedicated Post-16 Pastoral & Student Success Coordinator on a term-time-only basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to directly influence young people's educational journeys, guiding post-16 learners through crucial academic transitions, personal development, and career planning. Working as a key bridge between academic teams and student support services, you will help remove learning barriers and empower students to reach their full potential.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging weekly group tutorials covering pastoral themes, safeguarding, study skills, social action, and career preparation.
- Manage a tutorial caseload averaging 15 groups (approximately 300 students in total).
- Conduct individual 1-to-1 mentoring sessions to set SMART targets and monitor student progress throughout the academic year.
- Lead attendance and behaviour interventions in direct collaboration with curriculum teams, parents/carers, and external support agencies.
- Monitor vulnerable student cohorts, acting as the primary point of contact for pastoral concerns and signposting to internal wellbeing or safeguarding teams.
- Support learners with UCAS applications, personal statements, Gatsby benchmark activities, enrichment projects, and work experience tracking.
- Attend disciplinary meetings, parents' evenings, and key college calendar events, including Open Days and enrolment periods.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications & Knowledge: Minimum Level 2 in literacy and numeracy (essential). A relevant degree (e.g., Youth Work) or prior experience within Further Education is desirable.
- Characteristics & Skills: Proven experience delivering group workshops and 1-to-1 support to young people. Excellent communication skills, calm authority under pressure, and an empathetic approach to supporting diverse student needs.
- Transport & Commute: Ability to commute reliably to Bromley, London, alongside a flexible approach to working hours during peak enrolment periods and college events.
