Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Primary School – Merseyside
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will: -Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher
-Provide planned cover for teachers, including leading lessons where appropriate
-Support the planning, preparation and assessment of pupils’ learning
-Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
-Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
-Contribute to the wider life of the school Hours of Work Monday to Friday, term time only
Working during core school hours (approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Full‑time or part‑time opportunities may be available depending on the role About You
We are looking for someone who: -Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
-Has strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
-Is confident leading learning activities and supporting pupil progress
-Has high expectations for all children
-Is a positive, flexible and reliable team member
