As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you’ll bring to the role

Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills

Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

️ You qualify if…

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail

Journey to Joining Our Amazing Team

  Our recruitment team will review your application, and if it meets the apprenticeship criteria, we’ll reach out to schedule an initial screening call. This call will help us get to know you better and discuss some eligibility questions. We’re excited to learn more about you!

• 3. Interviews

  If selected, you’ll be invited to an exciting in-store interview. This will be divided into two parts: a traditional sit-down interview and a dynamic shop floor challenge. During the challenge, the store manager will guide you through a few tasks on the shop floor to see your skills in action!
