Banking Senior Associate

Senior Associate - Banking & Finance | Birmingham A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded and growing Banking & Finance team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced banking lawyer to work on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions for an impressive client base, including major UK banks and financial institutions. Flexible hybrid working is available. The Role:

• Advise clients on a broad range of banking and finance transactions.
• Handle matters across acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing.
• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
• Lead transactions from initial instruction through to completion, with appropriate support where required.
• Develop and manage strong client relationships and play an active role in client meetings.
• Work closely with colleagues across the Corporate and Real Estate teams.
• Supervise and support junior lawyers and coordinate transaction workstreams.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the team's profile and client base.
• Play an active role in the continued development of the wider Banking & Finance practice.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in banking and finance.
• Strong experience across some or all of acquisition finance, property finance, development finance, restructuring and refinancing.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
• Confident managing client relationships and taking ownership of transactions.
• Experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers.
• Proactive and ambitious, with a genuine interest in business development and practice development.
• Collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
