What will you be doing?

Impact Planning and Evaluation

  • Support assigned departments and programme areas, working with programme managers to develop, implement and review monitoring and evaluation frameworks in line with the Foundation's outcomes framework and Theory of Change.
  • Support the design and implementation of appropriate data collection methods, including validated quantitative tools (e.g. SWEMWBS, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, SDQ) and qualitative approaches such as case studies, focus groups and structured interviews.
  • Contribute to the Foundation's ongoing development of social impact measurement practice, drawing on sector best practice and relevant evidence from sports charities and the wider third sector.
  • Assist in translating impact evidence into clear, accessible reports and outputs for a range of audiences, including funders, senior leadership, trustees and community stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

  • Liaise with colleagues across the Foundation to establish reporting needs, agree data requirements and ensure I&I plans are understood and adhered to at programme level.
  • Contribute to the preparation of funder reports, impact summaries and strategic reporting materials, ensuring all content is accurate, ethically represented and aligned with GDPR requirements.
  • Identify trends and patterns in programme data and present findings with clear, evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.

Data Management and Quality Assurance

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Foundation's data management systems (including Salesforce CRM) and support colleagues in understanding how to record and manage data accurately.
  • Train and upskill programme staff on data input processes, ensuring consistent, complete and timely data collection in line with the Foundation's I&I Policy and minimum requirements.
  • Support internal data audits on a quarterly basis and flag data quality issues to the relevant I&I Manager.
  • Ensure all data is stored and handled in line with GDPR, the Foundation's data protection policies and best practice safeguarding requirements.

Organisational Learning and Development

  • Contribute to the Foundation's wider learning culture by identifying and sharing emerging evidence, validated tools and best practice from the sports for development and charity sectors.
  • Undertake continuing professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of social impact measurement, MEAL methods and digital data tools.
  • Support other Foundation programmes and activities as required.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in social impact, evaluation or data analysis roles, or a research environment, ideally within a charity, sports organisation or community setting.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to analyse and present data clearly.
  • Experience of working with data management or CRM systems; knowledge of Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Strong team working and project management skills with experience coordinating multiple projects at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to varied audiences.
  • Effective organisational skills, with experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • A sound understanding of social impact measurement principles and practice, including the distinction between outputs, outcomes and impact.
  • Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and their appropriate application in community or charity settings.
  • Familiarity with data protection legislation (GDPR) and safe data handling practice.
  • Positive, flexible and pragmatic. Able to cope with uncertainty and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and programmes.
  • Friendly open manner and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • A self-starter with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements in relation to data collection involving children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Familiarity with programme planning frameworks such as Theory of Change or logic models.
