Salary: £150-£200 per day DOE

Cover People are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving secondary school in South Manchester for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join their team from September 2026 . About the Role:

• Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available for suitable candidates
• Deliver creative and engaging lessons that challenge and motivate learners
• Foster a classroom culture built on high expectations, respect and inclusion
• Assess student progress and use feedback to maximise achievement
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
• Contribute to the school's enrichment programme and wider community

About You:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026
• A degree in English or a related subject
• Passionate about English and inspiring young people to achieve their best
• Confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Committed to continuous professional development and raising standards
