Head up reserve analytics for a global reinsurer on the breathtaking island of Bermuda

Are you a senior actuarial expert with a background in reinsurance reserving, looking for your next international role?

In this hands-on, advisory and strategic role, you will work closely with the Chief Actuary in projecting the firm's reserves into the future, based on changes in the business and experience using a bespoke tool built within Python.

Coordinating and performing detailed analysis, you will calculate the forecasted future reserves, associated cashflows and reserve uncertainty associated with the company’s re/insurance exposures.

You will also work with numerous internal and external partners, communicating results and consequences of complex analysis related to forecasted reserves and reserve risk.

A forward-thinker, you will support investments, ceded, capital partners, capital planning and other teams in carefully considering alternative projected scenarios, assessing how they should impact current decision making in order to (re)shape the business now to get the optimal future  outcome.

With strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of reserve risk modelling (with some capital experience), loss-reserving, and forecasting techniques. 

A strong background in business process reviews and analysis, finance systems and internal controls is also required, as is experience communicating at the C-Suite and Board level.
