HGV Class 1 Driver (CE) - Hythe, Kent

Pay Rate: £17.00 - £21.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Hythe, Kent .

This role is ideally suited to drivers who enjoy long-distance trunking work and are comfortable working extended shifts. You'll be completing regular runs to the Solihull, Derby and Coventry areas, with the most of the work involving trunk runs, although some routes may include delivery drops.

Duties Include:

• HGV Class 1 trunking runs from Hythe to the Midlands.
• Regular routes to Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
• Occasional delivery drops where required.
• Completing CMRs and all associated transport paperwork accurately.
• Operating curtain-sided trailers safely and efficiently.
• Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring full compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience with CMR documentation is essential.
• Experience operating curtain-siders is essential.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and transport legislation.
• Professional, reliable and flexible approach to work.

• Happy with 10-15 hour shifts .
• Comfortable with long-distance driving and regular motorway work.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexible to undertake occasional multi-drop deliveries when required.
• Takes pride in delivering a professional service and maintaining accurate paperwork.
