The Role As a Science Teacher, you will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and help students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. There will also be opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities and the wider school community. Key responsibilities include: • Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential • Monitoring progress and using assessment effectively to drive achievement • Collaborating with colleagues to develop outstanding teaching resources • Contributing to enrichment opportunities, clubs and educational visits • Promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement and engagement The successful Science Teacher will have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2026 • A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour • Excellent communication and classroom management skills • A reflective and proactive approach to professional development • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and educational excellence Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced Science Teachers.
