Project Manager

£64.26k - £84.6k per annum
Full-time

About The Role

Ready to lead complex engineering projects that make a real difference? Do you thrive in highly regulated environments where safety, quality and delivery go hand in hand? At EDF,

Success is Personal – and this is your opportunity to shape a career that helps Britain achieve net zero.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager within our Project Delivery team, you'll play a key role in delivering technical projects that support the safe and reliable operation of #Heysham 1 Power Station. From upgrading plant systems and equipment to delivering complex engineering solutions, you'll help drive the transition towards An Electric Britain while contributing to one of the UK's most important sources of zero carbon electricity.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll be accountable for the successful delivery of projects across their full lifecycle. You'll balance safety, quality, cost and schedule, while building strong relationships with stakeholders and leading teams to achieve outstanding results.

This is an onsite role based at #Heysham 1, giving you the opportunity to work closely with engineering specialists and operational teams at the heart of EDF Nuclear Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the safe delivery of technical and engineering projects from initiation through to completion
  • Managing project scope, schedule, cost and quality to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Working with engineering and technical specialists to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and communicating project progress, risks and opportunities
  • Leading and supporting project teams to deliver successful outcomes in a highly regulated environment

Who You Are

We're looking for a Project Manager who is delivery-focused, technically minded and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll have experience leading complex projects and building effective working relationships to achieve shared goals. Do you offer...?

  • Proven experience delivering technical or engineering projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, oil and gas, marine, defence or construction
  • A technical background across multidisciplinary engineering environments
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, costs and risks
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits And Culture

We are offering a starting salary of between £64,261 and £84,595, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.

Join us and find your success at EDF!

These values are not just what we believe, they’re how we work. If they resonate with you, you’ll thrive here.

Closing date for applications is the Wednesday 5th August, interviews will be week commencing the 10th August.
