Equipment Manager - Theatre | Barts Health NHS Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join the Theatres team at St Bartholomew's Hospital. We are seeking to recruit a Theatre Equipment Manager to support running of the operating theatres on the hospital site.
St Bartholomew’s Hospital provides cardiac, thoracic, breast and other cancer-based surgery. We have recently opened a new Breast Cancer Centre, expanding our operating theatres on the hospital site.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, proactive and well organised with a strong sense of patient care. The ability to multitask and work under pressure in what can often be a busy environment is essential. It will be vital that this individual can work closely with a multi-disciplinary team but also work autonomously to deliver technical support to the Theatre and wider team. The post holder will be required to work in a clinical setting within theatres and will be line manager by the Theatres Matron with a reporting line to the Service Manager.
Candidates should have expertise with equipment management in a peri-operative or similar area, experience liaising with industry suppliers and understanding of procurement process. This is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to work in a complex theatre setting delivering high quality care.

The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of the St Bartholomew's Hospital Theatre's equipment service and will be expected to contribute to the leadership team in Theatres. The role includes supporting with the purchasing and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and contracts.
