£24.1 - £27.9 per hourEstimated
Full-time

We are a global consultancy group, combining multi-disciplined expertise to deliver marine, engineering and technical services that drive safety and sustainability in maritime, oil & gas and renewable energy sectors. As a member of our Group IT team, you will deliver 3rd line technical support and help to maintain and develop our IT infrastructure. You will help ensure that our systems remain secure, resilient, and efficient while providing excellent service and support to users across our business.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintain and optimise our Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues across user devices, operating systems, applications, networks, and cloud-based services.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring incidents are resolved and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Identify recurring issues, trends, and potential risks, implementing preventative measures to improve service reliability and reduce future incidents.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Deliver technical support to colleagues through phone, email, chat, and remote support channels, ensuring a positive user experience.
  • Own and manage critical incidents through to resolution, ensuring effective communication, documentation, and seamless handovers across global teams.
  • Maintain accurate records within the IT Service Management system, ensuring tickets are prioritised, updated, and resolved.
  • Lead or contribute to IT projects and technology initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across the business to deliver outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve IT service documentation, knowledge articles, procedures, and technical guides to support operational efficiency.
  • Support user onboarding activities, including account provisioning, device deployment, system configuration, and end-user training.
  • Encourage collaboration and best practice across the IT team, ensuring consistent adherence to service desk processes and standards.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of company systems, data, and information assets.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Aqualis Group company policies and QHSE standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required to support the successful delivery of IT services.

What are we looking for?

  • ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4) certification. Relevant IT infrastructure, systems administration, or support qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across hardware, software, networks, and cloud-based services.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience managing and supporting on-prem and cloud-based applications and services.
  • Strong administration skills across Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Domain Services, Group Policy, and domain controller environments.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies including LAN / WAN environments, routers, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, TCP / IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles, identity and access management, permissions, and endpoint protection technologies.
  • Experience implementing and supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and associated end-user technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Flow) and process automation tools.
