The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, independent mixed practice based in the beautiful West Fife area. This well-established practice operates across three successful sites, serving Perth and Kinross, Fife and Clackmannanshire, and offers the perfect balance of rural practice with excellent access to Edinburgh (30 minutes) and Glasgow (around one hour).

The practice is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join its experienced team of 16 vets. This role can be tailored to suit individual interests, with the flexibility to work in a genuinely mixed position or as a dedicated small animal Veterinary Surgeon.

The mixed caseload consists of approximately 65% small animal and 35% farm and equine , providing an excellent variety of work. Farm work includes progressive dairy, beef and sheep cases, alongside a smaller amount of first opinion equine work. There is plenty of opportunity to develop clinical interests, with mixed vets able to focus more heavily on either small or large animal work depending on their preferences.

The small animal facilities are exceptionally well equipped, featuring digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and extensive in-house laboratory equipment, including an Imagyst scanner for cytology. The farm team also benefits from modern diagnostic equipment, including Ovacyte for faecal worm egg counts.

This is a full-time position, although part-time applications will also be considered.
