English Teacher - January 2027 - Cranleigh Abu Dhabi

THE VACANCY

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is delighted to invite applications for an exceptional English Teacher to join the School in January 2027.

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring English teacher who can engage pupils, contribute to a thriving English department, and foster a genuine love of literature and language. The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with high expectations, ensuring pupils of all abilities have the opportunity to develop their reading, writing, and communication skills with confidence.

They will have experience teaching examination courses and supporting strong outcomes at GCSE and, ideally, A Level. They will also bring the energy and imagination to enrich pupils’ learning beyond the classroom through debating, public speaking, creative writing, theatre trips, and literary events that connect English with the wider cultural life of the School and Saadiyat Island.

Candidates should hold a recognised teaching qualification and have experience teaching English in a British curriculum school. Experience of contributing to curriculum development is desirable.
