We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school team in Beckenham. This post is ideal for a proactive education professional passionate about delivering high-quality classroom support and pastoral care across the school.

Working closely with class teachers, you will play a key role in raising pupil attainment, delivering targeted group interventions, and taking on whole-class cover where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support and pastoral care to primary pupils.
• Lead planned small group interventions and 1:1 sessions tailored to pupil needs.
• Step in to deliver prepared lessons and manage whole-class learning in the teacher's absence.
• Promote positive behaviour management and foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to track pupil progress and support learning goals.

Requirements

• HLTA Status / Qualification is essential.
• Proven experience working within a UK primary school or education setting.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).
