Property Litigation Solicitor | 3+ PQE Newcastle upon Tyne
Are you a Property Litigation Solicitor looking to join a highly regarded North East law firm with an excellent reputation, a genuinely supportive culture, and a strong pipeline of quality work?
I'm currently working with a well-established full-service commercial law firm in Newcastle that is continuing to invest heavily in the growth of its Dispute Resolution offering. As part of that growth, the firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Property Litigation Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE to join its thriving team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators, handle a varied and interesting caseload, and play a visible role in the continued success of the department.
The Opportunity
You'll become part of a busy and highly respected Property Litigation team within the wider Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, working with a diverse client base that includes SMEs, developers, landowners, managing agents, rural businesses and larger corporate organisations.
The role offers significant autonomy, client exposure and genuine opportunities to develop your own profile within the market.
The Work
You'll advise clients across a broad range of contentious property matters, including:
- Commercial property disputes
- Property litigation matters
- Contractual and real estate disputes
- Agricultural and rural property disputes
- Lease renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954
- Dilapidations claims
- Forfeiture and possession proceedings
- Service charge and rent arrears disputes
- Breach of covenant claims
- Boundary disputes
- Easements and rights of way issues
What They're Looking For
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- A minimum of 3 years' PQE with solid Property Litigation experience
- Experience handling a broad range of contentious property matters
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- The ability to manage their own caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
- A proven ability to provide pragmatic, strategic legal advice
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with colleagues across Property, Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams
- An interest in business development and developing long-term client relationships
Experience dealing with contractual real estate disputes would be particularly advantageous.
Why Consider This Role?
- Join a respected and growing North East law firm
- High-quality and varied Property Litigation work
- Strong team culture with approachable and supportive leadership
- Genuine opportunity to make an impact within a growing department
- Excellent client exposure and business development opportunities
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Friendly and collaborative working environment
