SEND Teaching Assistant – B36 Birmingham – Immediate

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in B36, Birmingham . This is a long-term, full-time position starting immediately , offering an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

The school has a strong focus on inclusion and is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) , ADHD , communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Key Details:

• Location: B36, Birmingham

• Start Date: Immediate

• Contract Type: Long-term

• Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND , particularly Autism and ADHD

• A passion for inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, including Autism and ADHD

• Support pupils to access learning and engage positively within the classroom environment

• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation, concentration, and behaviour management

• Promote inclusion and encourage participation in lessons and wider school activities

• Work closely with class teachers, SENDCOs, and other support staff to meet individual learning targets

• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils

• Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
