Community Healthcare Assistant

Job summary
Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for an opportunity to develop your clinical skills while making a real difference to patients within the community?

Were looking for a compassionate and motivated Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant to join our Community Nursing service.

Youll work directly with patients in their own homes and residential care settings, delivering nursing care delegated by our registered nursing team. Its a varied and rewarding role where youll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients and carers while developing a broad range of community healthcare skills.

Depending on your training and competencies, your work may include phlebotomy, wound care and dressings, blood glucose monitoring, continence support and other delegated clinical interventions.

Youll be trusted to organise and manage your delegated visits, working independently in the community while remaining supported by experienced District Nurses and Senior Nurses. Youll also play an important role in observing patients, recognising changes in their condition and ensuring concerns are communicated promptly to the appropriate clinician.
