Production Planner

£42k per annum
Full-time

Location: Sedgefield, County Durham (Onsite)

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join a growing Operations team. The Production Planner will develop and maintain production schedules, balancing customer demand, manufacturing capacity and material availability to ensure products are delivered on time.

Working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Project teams, the Production Planner will coordinate production plans, monitor work-in-progress (WIP), maintain ERP/MRP planning data and identify potential delivery risks before they impact operations. The Production Planner will also support production planning meetings, engineering changes, new product introductions (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production flow and operational performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Production Planner within advanced manufacturing, electronics, engineering or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning, WIP management and material availability.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of production ramp-up activities, NPI and engineering change processes would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
