Access Control / Intercom Engineer – FM Service Provider – London (Foot Mobile) – £50,000 to £52,000 – CIS or PAYE Options Available Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for an Access Control / Intercom Engineer to work across seven high-end residential buildings, primarily around the Canary Wharf area. The successful candidate will have proven experience servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing access control, door entry and intercom systems within residential or commercial properties. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000 , overtime opportunities, and further technical training and development. Package & Working Hours
- £50,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience)
- £180 – £220 per day CIS (depending on experience)
- Overtime available
- Working hours: 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am – 4.00pm Friday
- £160 per month travel allowance

- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
- Diagnosing faults and completing remedial works across a portfolio of high-end residential buildings.
- Servicing and maintaining a wide range of systems including:
- Audio and video intercom systems
- Access control systems
- Door entry systems
- Magnetic locks and electric strikes
- Proximity, fob and card access systems
- Automatic door release systems
- Gate entry systems (where applicable)
- Installing and replacing access control and intercom equipment as required.
- Programming and commissioning new or replacement devices.
- Attending reactive call-outs and resolving system faults efficiently.
- Participating in a 1-in-3 call-out rota after successfully settling into the role.
- Liaising with residents, site teams and property managers to ensure excellent customer service.
- Completing service reports and providing recommendations following maintenance visits.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with current industry standards and health & safety regulations.
- Proven experience working on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
- Experience carrying out PPMs, servicing, repairs and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of systems from manufacturers such as Paxton, Videx, BPT, Comelit, Hikvision, TDSi, Gallagher, Honeywell, Salto or similar.
- Strong understanding of electronic security systems and associated hardware.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
- ECS Card or CSCS Card (preferred).
- IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to provide references and relevant industry qualifications.
