History Teacher – Lead Medieval & Early Modern History and Enhance Historical Source Analysis at KS5 – Watford
An academically focused secondary school in Watford is recruiting a dedicated and experienced History Teacher with a specialization in Medieval and Early Modern History from January 2026.
- History Teacher required from January 2026.

- Seeking a specialist to lead the development of source analysis and interpretation skills at A-Level, focusing on pre-1800 history.
You will teach History across KS3-KS5, ensuring the curriculum is challenging and skills-focused. The role includes developing departmental expertise in scaffolding complex historical arguments and preparing students for competitive university applications.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a degree in History (specializing in pre-1800 history).
- Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level History.
- Experience in curriculum design focusing on analytical and research skills.
- Willingness to contribute to academic enrichment programs, such as history clubs or EPQ mentoring.
