Investment Manager (Private Wealth)

Job Description:

A highly respected wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join their Glasgow office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of private clients, providing tailored investment advice and delivering long-term investment strategies aligned with client objectives. This role is suited to a Chartered professional who combines strong technical investment expertise with excellent client relationship skills.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Level 7 Chartered status (CISI Chartered Wealth Manager, or equivalent).

Proven experience managing discretionary or advisory investment portfolios.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-quality client relationships.

Strong understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, and portfolio construction.

Business development mindset with the ability to grow a client book.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage and develop a portfolio of high-net-worth and private clients, delivering personalised investment advice and portfolio management services.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular reviews and proactive communication.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and professional connections.

Construct, monitor, and review client portfolios in line with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal specialists, including financial planners and research teams, to deliver holistic wealth management solutions.

Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and internal governance standards.

Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with compliance requirements.
