A prestigious independent school in Newcastle is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of the school site. Independent school based in Newcastle
Full-time, permanent position
The role involves responsibility for the smooth running of the school premises, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-presented environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will manage maintenance schedules, health & safety compliance, contractors, and site security, working closely with senior leaders and external providers.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day site management, maintenance, and security of the school
Opening and closing of the school site
Oversight of health & safety procedures and compliance
Liaising with contractors and managing site-related projects
Monitoring premises, grounds, and facilities to high standards
Supporting school events and lettings as required
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a Site Manager, Caretaker, or Facilities role
Strong working knowledge of health & safety regulations
Practical maintenance and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
