About the Role:

Supply Desk are currently looking for a passionate, committed and experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Hemel Hempstead area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will provide engaging, personalised and inclusive learning experiences for pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
- Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP targets.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils' emotional wellbeing.
- Adapt teaching approaches and strategies to maximise engagement, progress and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
