Charlton School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner of Science to join our ambitious and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled classroom practitioner to play a pivotal role in raising standards, developing pedagogy and securing exceptional outcomes for students.
Science is a successful department, comprising a collaborative team of specialist teachers and two technicians, supported by nine fully equipped laboratories. We deliver the United Learning Key Stage 3 curriculum, providing students with a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and enquiry, before offering AQA Combined Science: Trilogy alongside separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 4.
As Lead Practitioner, you will work alongside colleagues to champion outstanding classroom practice, support professional development and ensure that all students experience an ambitious, engaging and knowledge-rich science curriculum. You will have the opportunity to influence teaching and learning across the department whilst continuing to inspire students through your own exemplary practice.
