English Teacher – Drive Excellence in A-Level Literature and Academic Scholarship – Westminster
A prestigious, academic secondary school in Westminster with an outstanding Sixth Form is seeking an English Teacher to join their faculty from January 2026. This role is predominantly focused on A-Level Literature .
- English Specialist required from January 2026

The role involves teaching A-Level English Literature , focusing on advanced critical theory and challenging set texts. You'll be expected to design and execute highly challenging extension sessions , contribute to the school's Oxbridge preparation programme, and foster a culture of rigorous academic inquiry.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS and a degree in English Literature (Masters degree highly desirable)
- Proven ability to teach and achieve top results at A-Level Literature
- Experience or capacity to mentor students through EPQ or competitive university admissions
- Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom environment
