Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work with amazing schools in Sheffield . This opportunity is suitable for individuals who can take responsibility for a class, communicate instructions effectively, and maintain a positive learning atmosphere across different subjects and year groups.

The Cover Supervisor will oversee pre-planned lessons during teacher absence, ensuring students understand the work provided, follow classroom expectations, and continue their learning with minimal disruption.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Supervise classes and deliver work already prepared by teaching staff
* Explain assigned activities and clarify instructions when learners require guidance
* Maintain clear expectations for behaviour and classroom conduct
* Encourage young people to remain engaged and complete tasks independently
* Handle minor classroom issues in accordance with school policies
* Provide teachers with relevant feedback regarding work completed, engagement, and behaviour

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

* Experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, or a related environment
* Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining appropriate boundaries
* Clear communication skills and the ability to give instructions effectively
* Understanding of basic classroom and behaviour management techniques
* Flexible and organised approach to working across different lessons and age groups
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
