Quality Engineer
Responsible for the day-to-day management of product quality during manufacture and to resolve any quality issues that may arise internally or with customers. Reporting to the Compliance Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor product quality as it moves through manufacture, helping each manufacturing department with their in-process controls
- Raising and completing Internal Corrective Actions to address quality in production
- Arranging and chairing monthly Quality Meetings
- Helping Final Inspection Quality Assurance to resolve any potential finished product quality issues prior to dispatch
- Monitor process and product scrap and re-work, conducting FMEAs on processes where scrap and re-work are over target, implementing corrective actions
- Responding quickly to customer complaints and quickly resolve through customer corrective action reports.
- Maintain, improve and implement the ISO9001
- Draw up Quality Plans for NPI jobs in manufacture and helping CTO review first batch upon completion
- Working within strict procedures and in line with H&S Regulations
- Communicate with production, compliance, dispatch, H&S, facilities, security, HR, planning and the Management team
- Provide excellent administration and report writing skills
Qualifications/Experience Required
- Degree standard of educated
- 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally within electronics
- PC literate: Microsoft Office word and excel
