Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) is the largest and most complex CSU at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). As the Ward Leader for J50, you will provide visible, supportive leadership while maintaining a strong clinical presence. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care to patients with complex renal conditions, including those undergoing dialysis and transplantation. The role includes overseeing day-to-day operational and staffing needs, ensuring effective workforce planning and team coordination. You will drive service development, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation in line with Trust and Renal strategy/priorities. A key part of the role is fostering a positive and inclusive culture that supports learning, accountability, and staff wellbeing. You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, including renal consultants, dialysis units, transplant coordinators, dietitians, and allied health professionals, to deliver patient-centred care and enhance outcomes across the nephrology and transplantation pathway.
