About the Role
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver inspiring and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach A-Level Music depending on experience. You will support pupils in developing their performance, composition, and listening skills while encouraging creativity and confidence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teaching performance, composition, and music theory

• Encouraging pupils to explore different musical genres and styles

• Supporting pupils in developing instrumental and vocal performance skills

• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as choirs, ensembles, and school concerts

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Music

• Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons

• Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Be enthusiastic about developing pupils’ confidence and musical ability

• Be willing to contribute to the wider musical life of the school through performances and events
