JOB SUMMARY:

* The post holder will support the management and co-ordination of systems and processes to support the delivery of Postgraduate Dental Education and Training in Northern Ireland.
* The post holder will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the delivery of departmental and corporate business objectives.
* The post holder will form part of a team providing a wide range of administrative functions, liaising with both internal staff and individuals external to the organisation.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST:

1. Provide high quality routine administrative support to the dental team ensuring the effective operation of systems and procedures.
2. Assist in the administration and implementation of administrative systems within the dental department.
3. Ensure a continual high standard of service is provided to all staff, customers, members of the public and suppliers.
4. Effectively prepare reports, documents and proposals for senior staff within the department as well as supplying advice and assistance as required.
5. Continually seek to improve the service delivered within the department by committing to attend personal development training, demonstrating a team work ethic and embracing change.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1a. Five GCSE’s (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A* – C) OR
and literacy demonstrate to qualification equivalent
numeracy

Higher Qualification
OR
1b. 18 Months relevant experience*
2. One year’s experience working with Microsoft Office or similar
* Relevant experience is defined as working in an office environment carrying out administrative duties such as preparing written correspondence, maintaining systems
