Duties will include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and tax returns
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries
- Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS submissions
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Providing clients with tax advice and business support
- Assisting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Dext
- Conducting client meetings and building long-term relationships
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House regarding client matters
- Supporting onboarding processes for new clients
- Assisting with advisory work including budgeting, cashflow and business planning
- ACA / ACCA / AAT / ATT qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns
- Confident working with Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
- Good working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and FreeAgent
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation
- Positive and proactive approach with a team-focused attitude
