Head of International eCommerce and Compliance

Our client who are the most technologically enabled distribution business operating in the UK today, are now recruiting for A HEAD OF INTERNATIONAL AND ECOMMERCE with a specialism in International Compliance, Rates, Tariffs, Tax Charges, Duty etc and sound knowledge of ALL the International Carriers and Postl Authorities across the world.

They currently have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced, successful, energetic and entrepreneurial Head of International and Ecommerce to join their fast–growing team

Overview of the role:
The company are looking for an ambitious individual to join their growing International and eCommerce team,working directly with the Group International and eCommerce Director you will manage the current support teams and final mile carrier partners, along with ensuring their products, services and integrations are fit for purpose and compliant. This will include understanding and managing all international regulatory changes, including taxes and duties, local trading rules, ensuring our client are ahead of all changes to ensure they offer their clients the best knowledge and service at all times. You will also work with their sales team to develop new products and services including new marketplace or WMS integrations and solutions.

What you'll do:
– Manage and develop the current e–commerce and international teams, evaluating all roles to achieve maximum efficiency and minimise cost
– Manage and develop carrier partner agreements, current and new
– Manage, maintain and improve carrier partner SLA
– Identify and implement new carrier partners and services, liaising externally and internally to make this happen
– Work with Commercial and Finance to ensure they maximise profitability by carrier route and lanes
– Ensure they maintain adherent to Marketplace rules as an accredited carrier (Amazon, eBay and others)
– Keeping ahead of market developments, specifically international and ensuring all of our services and systems are fit for purpose
– Build and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

They are looking for:
– Industry Specific Expertise and Specialisms
– Experience of working in the international and eCommerce sector
– Extensive knowledge of the international mail and parcel market, including regulatory, tax, duty and compliance
– Strong and demonstratable people management skills, with experience of managing a successful team
– Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage a task from cradle to the death
– Midlands or South based location
– Having existing relationships with multiple final mile carrier partners, WMS, OMS and marketplaces – highly desirable
– Strong knowledge of IT systems
