Caretaker - Close-Knit Primary School - Taunton

Our client is seeking a reliable, practical, and proactive Caretaker to join a warm and close-knit primary school in Taunton. This is a vital on-site role, ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance and care of the school buildings and grounds

• Opening and closing the school site as required

• Carrying out basic repairs, DIY, and general upkeep

• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed across the site

• Monitoring the security of the premises and responding to issues promptly

• Supporting school events and occasional lettings when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Facilities role

• Practical maintenance and DIY skills

• Good working knowledge of health & safety procedures

• A reliable, flexible, and hands-on approach

• The right to work in the UK

• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
