About the Role

As a School Caretaker in Doncaster, you will play a vital part in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean and well-maintained.

The role will involve working as part of a small team and carrying out a variety of practical maintenance and site duties, including:

* Minor repairs and general maintenance
* Plumbing
* Carpentry
* Painting and decorating
* Fire safety duties
* Litter picking and maintaining the school grounds
* Supporting the general upkeep and security of the school site
* Working collaboratively as part of a small team

Working hours:

* Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
* Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
* 5 days per week
* Duration: Autumn Term
* Applicants must be available to work during school holidays

All mandatory training will be covered.

School Caretaker Requirements:

* Previous caretaking, maintenance or site management experience
* Practical experience with minor repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating
* Knowledge or experience of fire safety procedures
* Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
* Reliability
* Commitment to safeguarding
* An Enhanced DBS Certificate
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and codes of practice in relation to facilities management
