The Best Connection Manchester is currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Mixer Driver to join a leading supplier within the construction and concrete industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a long-term position with full training provided. No previous mixer experience is required , making this an ideal role for drivers looking to develop new skills within the construction and building materials sector.
Pay Rates & Benefits
- Starting rate of £16.12 per hour
- Increased rate of £16.60 per hour after 12 weeks
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- No weekend work
- Full paid training programme (1-2 weeks)

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 06:00 and 14:00
- Finish times vary depending on delivery schedules and workload
The Role
As a Class 2 Mixer Driver , your duties will include:
- Operating a concrete mixer vehicle safely and efficiently
- Delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites and commercial customers
- Conducting daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time
- Maintaining high levels of customer service
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Complying with Driver Hours Regulations and road transport legislation
- Representing the company in a professional manner
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Excellent punctuality and reliability
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Availability for a long-term ongoing role
MPQC Requirement
An MPQC Card is preferred but not essential.
Candidates without an MPQC Card will be required to attend a fully funded one-day MPQC course before starting work.
Training Provided
No previous concrete mixer experience is necessary.
Successful candidates will receive:
- Fully paid 1-2 week training programme
- Mixer vehicle familiarisation
- Site safety procedures
- Delivery process training
- Ongoing support from experienced transport professionals
