Intakes Operative - Freezer

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil  has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Intakes Department are looking for candidates with initiative, who want to learn and grow in a position, in our busy Merthyr Tydfil site.

This is a full time, permanent position working 4 days on/4 days off from 6.00am to 6.00pm so some weekend work will be required when the shift pattern lands there.

Job Role:

To facilitate the movement of stock in, out and around the Freezer Intakes Department whilst maintaining stock accuracy, integrity and rotation.

Job Duties:

Ensuring stock is rotated within department

Booking in stock and unloading/loading wagons

Picking and scanning to orders

Primary purpose is to ensure correct products are picked and quantities despatched.

Being accountable for ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.

Requirements

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Numeracy is essential

• Previous Warehouse experience is desirable

• PPT desirable but not essential, as well as Reach and Bendi Forklift Truck licence

• Be aware of Health & Safety policies
